Philadelphia band the War on Drugs have been pretty quiet over the two years since their debut LP Wagonwheel Blues. Recently they popped their heads above water to tour and announce their follow-up album, titled Future Weather, which is due October 26. "Comin' Through," the first preview of that disc, will do nothing to belay the Dylan + psychedelia comparisons, but they're still writing songs that are good enough for it not to matter. "Comin' Through" is a great example, as it piles winding, discordant guitar solos over its easy acoustic guitar backbone. You can download the track here. [Pitchfork]
Looking forward to this. Wagonwheel Blues rules.
