Slave Ambient by The War on Drugs was one of the most underrated albums of 2011, and it appears someone at Jimmy Fallon’s show agrees. The band was given an opportunity to play for a national audience on the show last night, where they teamed up with Questlove from the Roots to perform the song “Baby Missiles.” This is one of the standout cuts from the group’s latest record, perfectly mixing their fondness for ragged rock moves and precise rhythms that are almost motorik in texture. We even get a Neil Young-esque harmonica solo thrown in at the midway point, and Questlove certainly looks happy to be sitting in with some of his Philly brethren. Check it out in the clip below.
