The Walkmen performed the opening track from Lisbon on David Letterman’s show last night (Jan. 6), which was one of the tracks that leaked ahead of the record’s release back in September 2010. This is the kind of confident, half-paced rock number that the band does so well, with Hamilton Leithauser perfectly flexing his vocals around the churning guitar riffs. “Nice drums,” says Letterman at the end, which seems like an odd compliment, but when you've been doing this as long as Dave has it must be hard to come up with new ways to praise the bands.
