Last Call with Carson Daly is reportedly ramping up its music coverage, which means more in-depth espousing to camera by the host on his latest favorite indie rock outfits. If you can’t stand Daly’s gushing appraisals you might want to skip the intro of this clip to the Walkman, although it is thankfully pretty brief.
This performance of “Angela Surf City” was shot in a concert setting, which makes for a welcome relief from the somewhat stiff surroundings of most late night talk show sets. This is a cut from the just-released Lisbon, which Daly embarrassingly refers to as “good old fashioned dirty rock” in his outro. Oh, Carson. Perhaps he should just let the bands speak for themselves?
