The "super"group of Bon Iver and Collections of Colonies of Bees, Volcano Choir, are in Japan right now doing their first ever live shows. Fader found some footage from the band's show last night in Tokyo, and it is above. The band plays "Island, IS" and it's better than it is on wax, which is a good thing, since on wax these guys sound like a group of friends who had three days in a studio to kill with a copy of Fruity Loops. But this is nice. And Justin Vernon really gets time to shine here, as his vocals rise above the electronic din of his band. [P4K]
