Scottish filth rockers The Vaselines may have had one of the most unusual career trajectories in music history. Feted by Kurt Cobain during a time when they had broken up and nobody knew who they were, the band's lurid yet sweet tales only reached a wider audience via covers from their unlikely North American fanbase.
Fast forward to 2010 and The Vaselines have joined the overstuffed reunion bandwagon, toured a couple of times, and have a new album out titled Sex With An X. This performance of the title track for Jimmy Fallon's show demonstrates their enduring fondness for innuendo-laden lyrics and loud guitars, with Frances McKee still looking fresh faced despite the passing of time.
