Aussie rockers The Temper Trap came to Jimmy Fallon’s show last night, where they played this version of “Fader” from their debut album, Conditions. Their fashion sense may be, um, unique (just check out the bass player’s outfit here) but they know their way around a sweet melancholy pop song, as this performance demonstrates.
This appearance is part of a big push for Conditions on this side of the Atlantic, with The Temper Trap already enjoying huge success in their home country and the U.K. It’s music aimed squarely at the gap between MGMT’s first album and more emo-related fare, and it’s not hard to imagine “Fader" blasting out of dorm room windows in the not-too distant future.
