The Temper Trap continued on their inexorable march to foist their sunny emo inflected debut record Conditions on the world with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s show last night (Dec. 15). Both “Fader” and “Love Lost” are taken from that record, and they are among the most inoffensive and blandly cheery tracks you’ll hear all year. It’s no surprise that the band’s songs have been appropriated for some similarly mundane commercials—to date the Temper Trap’s music has appeared in clips promoting Chrysler, Diet Coke, Peugeot, 02, Rhapsody, Toyota, and many others. Keep sucking down that corporate coin, boys.
