The Strokes promised us they would deliver a new track titled “You’re So Right” on March 1, and they have dutifully delivered. The song will appear on the B-side of “Under Cover of Darkness,” and is the first sign that the upcoming Angles may not be the Strokes-by-numbers record that the A-side of that new release suggests. Of course, it’s possible that they’re just using the single to test out new ideas, but it’s refreshing to hear the band try something different, with the guitar extravagance kept to a minimum and some heavily treated drums guiding the song to its close. The song is currently streaming at NME.com, head over here to check it out.
definitely different sounding track for them
