The Strokes: "Under Cover of Darkness"
I was waiting to post this until I could get a hand on a copy, but for the life of me, I can't get the Strokes' website and free download to work. But at any rate, "Under Cover of Darkness," the new single from The Strokes is out now. And you can hear it at their MySpace page right now. I'm not sure how I completely feel about it (my first feelings is that it sorta stinks), but it is at least a return to the no-nonsense guitar work of their first two albums. And honestly, this is making me think of a travel company commercial more than anything else. Does this squash anticipation for the new album? Probably not. Though it's certainly not on some "Last Nite" type shit.
Angles is due out on March 22.

glad i'm not the only one who was having problems. i think their web guys seriously underestimated the number of people who are nostalgic for 2002.
