The Strokes: "Machu Pichu" & "Taken For A Fool"
Last week, two new Strokes tracks appeared on the Internet for about four hours. They were called "Machu Pichu" and "Taken For a Fool." They were okay, though "Machu Pichu" sounded like Casablancas' solo album. Then they dsappeared into the ether of hypertext and Tron characters. The record may have leaked yesterday, so Hype Machine feels cool posting the tracks up again. So, go here to hear "Machu Pichu" and here to hear "Taken for a Fool." "Taken for a Fool" is the winner here; it's some vintage dirty sounding Strokes.
