The Strokes went from their performance at the Cocahella festival this past weekend to Conan O’Brien’s show last night (April 20). “Games” is a cut from Angles that works in a few different sounds to their heavily guitar oriented work, with Albert Hammond Jr. spending most of the song hunched over a couple of keyboards and Fab Moretti using electronic drum pads. It’s one of the better songs on the album, although none of the players look particularly comfortable with this new direction—maybe a year on the road will bash it into shape.
