Mike Skinner’s promise to release three new Streets songs via Twitter this week is slowly coming to fruition. He uploaded “I Love My Phone” yesterday, and today he’s unleashed “Trust Me,” which is now available to download via this link. According to his Twitter stream, Skinner has spent most of today down the pub, and he has even provided pictorial evidence of his drinking habits.

“Trust Me” is a jaunty Streets song that is less fractured than “I Love My Phone” and is driven by a funky guitar line. Alice in Wonderland and Massive Attack’s “Karmacoma” are referenced as the track progresses, although his obvious Twitter addiction has yet to be immortalized in song. Skinner claims he has returned to the pub after posting the track, but he still has a few more days left to work on song number three in the series.
