The Guardian has been keeping track of Mike Skinner’s latest ventures in Internet land, which mostly involves turning his Twitter followers words into song. Skinner had a song and some commentary ready for Guardian writer James McMahon just a few hours after he had submitted his piece, and the results can be seen in the video above. The delivery is classic Skinner, who seems to have delved deep into the Internet at some point and hasn’t (yet) reached the point of no return, with lyrics about computers and “old YouTube shit” figuring among his concerns. This off-the-cuff material has got Skinner back on the right track after the lackluster Everything Is Borrowed, and it will be intriguing to see how it affects his upcoming February album, Computers and Blues.
