Like “The Escapist,” “Everything is Borrowed” is a softer, soberer side of Mike Skinner. The video for “Everything” takes on the recent housing crisis, as Skinner has his family’s house repossessed, while the song talks about how possessions don’t mean anything in the end, all you’re leaving the Earth with is love.
