The Smith Westerns: "All Die Young"
"Weekend," the first track to be revealed from Smith Westerns' sophomore full-length, Dye It Blonde, showed an astounding amount of growth and an exciting amount of potential from the scrappy Chicago garage rockers. With "All Die Young," I'm happy to report that "Weekend" was no fluke. The band bear-hugs their glam side on this one, shredding out sassy guitar leads, choral back-up vocals, and heavy organ parts before bursting into a more celebratory strut at the song's end.
