The Shins: "Goodbye Girl" (Squeeze Cover)
The changed-up Shins lineup has gotten in on that sweet Levi's money, recording a cover of "Goodbye Girl" by Squeeze for the jeans company. It's basically impossible for any song sung by Mercer to not sound exactly like a Shins song (including his songs for Broken Bells), so it's not surprising that this sort of sounds like a Shins original. The Squeeze original is a little bit more fast paced, but this replicates the emotional tenor of the original pretty well. You can download The Shins cover over at Levis.
