It's a voyage to Furry Island in the video for this song from the Ruby Suns. The band actually hails from the island environs of New Zealand, and "Tane Mahuta" nicely encapsulates the sounds of the South Pacific and other world music touches The Ruby Suns incorporate into the group's music. (The language the band is singing in is Maori, a pre-European settlement native language of New Zealand.) The song comes from the new Ruby Suns album Sea Lion, which is out Tuesday (March 4) on Sub Pop.
