The Ruby Suns: Birthday ft. Esau Mwamwaya (Beatles Cover) (MP3)

Supposedly, this song, “Birthday,” by Ruby Suns is an afro-beat cover (featuring Esau Mwamwaya) of the Beatles track of the same name, but there’s not much to make that clear—this new version is light and ghostly compared to the Beatles original, and the chorus is no where to be found.

In other Ruby Suns news, the band is collaborating with Mwamwaya on his upcoming album, which also features an M.I.A. guest spot.
