Yesterday, ?uestlove posted a cover of Michael Jackson's "I Wanna Be Where You Are" that featured Eyrkah Badu as the singer. Today, he posted a bossa nova rendering of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" sung/talked by himself and featuring Eykah Badu as the pseudo-hype man. It's not as good as their faithful cover of "Be Where You Are," but it's probably the only suitable way to cover this song; you either have to completely change it and sort of disappoint, or do it exactly like Mike and definitely do a version that is worse than his. Great tribute. The Roots are a talented group of brothers and it was shear genius adding Erykah Badu to the mix. The track is fiya!! Enjoyed it tremendously!
