The Rolling Stones' reissue of Exile on Main Street is probably going to be the number one album in the country next week, and for good reason: The band is promoting the hell out of it, appearing on Fallon, and releasing videos for rarities on the album like the above clip for "Following the River." I have a feeling this has re-recorded vocals, since Jagger sounds less like his Exile days and more like his playing giant-ass stadiums days. I guess you can't fault the Stones for wanting things to sound all right, but presenting some of the rarities as "found in the vault" seems sketchy. Yet maybe I'm wrong and these are old. Who knows?
