The Raveonettes: "The Christmas Song" (Video)

It looks like The Raveonettes are following in the path of She & Him and gearing up for a piece of the Christmas market. “The Christmas Song” dates back to the Whip It On sessions from 2001, and has now been dusted off and presented to tie in with the holiday season 10 years later. The song originally surfaced on the “Heartbreak Stroll” single, but the video depicts the duo now, hanging out in Sune Rose Wagner’s New York City apartment. According to the notes on YouTube, “there was supposed to be a guy dressed up as a homeless Santa but he never made it.” In fact there’s not much seasonal cheer at all here, although the band did manage to dig out a Christmas tree.
