The Raconteurs mix Lord of the Rings with Conan the Destroyer (remember the final battle against that wizard at the end with all the mirrors? Or am I the only one who has seen that more than once?) in the video for “Old Enough.” The band perform in some sort of house of mirrors in the middle of the woods, are accompanied by a wandering fiddle player, and dress like the 1870s musicians they long to be. I’m not sure what the video is trying to say other than mirrors are a great way to make a cheap video seem cooler, but the video’s setting fits the old barroom feel of the song amicably enough.
