The Perceptionists: "Sak Pase"
We previously officially heard from The Perceptionists in 2005 when they dropped their killer Black Dialogue album. Since then, it appears that their DJ and producer, Fakts One, has dropped off the map, as we haven't heard much from him following his 2008 solo effort, Long Range.
As such, the Perceptionists' latest release, "Sak Pase*," features MCs Mr. Lif and Akrobatik spitting over a production from Hezekiah. The Philly-based rapper-producer has laced a drums-heavy, contemplative beat for Lif and Akro. In their words, the emotional track is their acknowledgment of the "pain and suffering that are the results of the devastating earthquake that ruptured Haiti on Jan 12, 2010."
