A co-worker at my night job said he feels like Indie rock is starting to sound like 1987. He didn't use The Pains of Being Pure at Heart as an example, but they more than prove his point; the band's new single, "Say No To Love," streaming over at Pitchfork, is like the best of the Psychedelic Furs in miniature. It's a good one though; play it with a Breakfast Club trailer and pretend you're John Hughes.
The "Say No To Love" single is due out on June 8 via Slumberland.
