An orgy of pianos and keyboards ride on top of a pulsing electronic beat and later a hard-hitting actual drum set in "Fuguefat," the opening cut from The Octopus Project's upcoming album Hexadecagon. The track was reportedly inspired by the minimalist composers Terry Riley and Steve Reich, which makes sense considering the track's cyclical and repetitive nature. This all might make it sound like "Fuguefat" isn't that exciting of a track, but it's made a little more flooring to find out that over 40 piano tracks are at harmonious work here. Check it out over at Stereogum.
