The Noisettes have blown up in the U.K. after living on the fringes of stardom for a few years, and now their label has their eyes set on a U.S. breakthrough. To further that, here's a fancy looking video for "Never Forget You," a soulful, Motown-lite track that showcases frontwoman Shingai Shoniwa's voice. In the clip, the band perform in a dusty, empty theater while Shoniwa hangs out in a car before joining them. There's been a lot of Yeah Yeah Yeahs comparisons bandied about in relation to Noisettes recently, and while musically not so much, they certainly are similar in the putting the focus on the frontwoman while the two dudes in the band stick to the background.
Noisettes Wild Young Hearts is due out sometime later this year in the U.S., and is out right now in the U.K. [Spinner]
The chorus sounds like The Beatle's "Misery". I like it.
