The National: "So Far Around The Bend" (Live Video)

All this week, Pitchfork TV has videos of bands that recorded songs for the pretty stellar Dark Was the Nightcompilation doing their contribution live, and today they have a video of album masterminds (Bryce and Aaron Dessner) and their band, the National, doing "So Far Around the Bend," which is prefaced by the brothers and Red Hot founder John Carlin discussing the album. The performance is decidedly low-key (like the song) and bolstered by a group of orchestral instruments. [Pitchfork]
