The National's recent trip to a castle in New York for Pitchfork TV is starting to get into deep cut territory, as the band, instead of playing singles like "Bloodbuzz Ohio," do "Little Faith" in their third clip. These guys do "atmosphere" better than anyone, as they create the feeling of walking New York in the early morning rain with a nice drum beat, a piano and churning strings.
The National's stellar High Violet is due out on May 11. [P4K]
