Mt. St. Helen's Vietnam Band have been garnering a bunch of press for their Wolf Parade-esque sound, but with the video for "Cheer for Fate" the band establish themselves as a looser and more free-wheeling version of the Wolf Parade-Modest Mouse set. "Cheer for Fate" jumps around between different themes, like the band couldn't reel it in long enough to make a song with a singular focus (which is a good thing). The video is equally as loose--the band just goofs of in a house for the duration of the clip.

I like this vid. Even if they're just jumping around destroying stuff, I like the premise.
