The Mountain Goats: "Tyler Lambert's Grave"
To celebrate the attainment of 5,000 followers on Twitter, John Darnielle released this exclusive new Mountain Goats song, which will not be appearing on his upcoming All Eternals Deck album. "Tyler Lambert's Grave" is quite haunting, even by Mountain Goats standards, and features a stark backdrop of Darnielle on piano and Leanne Zacharias on strings. None of the usual comforts of recent Mountain Goats material pop up here at all: no acoustic guitar, no backup band, nothing. Just Darnielle weaving another riveting, character driven-tale.
