The Mountain Goats: "Psalms 40:2" (Live on Colbert) (Video)

The Colbert Nation website is currently streaming The Mountain Goats new album, The Life of the World to Come. To help promote the record further, lead Mountain Goat John Darnielle subjected himself to an interview on the show, and then joined his band to perform a version of "Psalms 40:2.”

Colbert admits to being a fan of Darnielle’s work during the interview, even though he admits the singer is an “arty, liberal type.” Could Colbert’s ultra conservative façade finally be cracking? They don’t discuss Darnielle’s excellent entry into the 33 1/3 series during the show, but anyone with a spare 10 bucks should definitely check it out.
