There is always something endearing about John Darnielle. Which is probably why his projects will always find distribution through some established indie label. His latest Mountain Goats project All Eternals Deck is being released through drummer Jon Wurster’s (who you may have just seen in this video) stomping grounds Merge. Which doesn’t drastically affect the band’s music, as can be heard here in the performance of “Birth of Serpents” from the upcoming album.
