Brooklyn based indie rockers The Morning Benders appeared on Last Call last night (March 22), in footage drawn from a show at the Music Box at the Henry Fonda Theater in LA. This is the kind of tuneful material the band has traded in since making its debut with Talking Through Tin Cans in 2008, with “Promises” taking a few atypical twists and turns as it settles into a post-Grizzly Bear groove—and that’s not a huge surprise, as that band’s Chris Taylor produced the latest Morning Benders release, the 2010 album Big Echo.
