I was willing to buy Lonely Island as a short-form SNL video group, but now that they've got a full-length album coming out (titled Incredibad, out tomorrow via Universal), the group's starting to wear on me. "Jizz In My Pants" was pretty funny, "I'm In A Boat" featuring T-Pain less so, and now there's this less-than-funny song, titled "Boombox" featuring Julian Casablancas of the Strokes singing about old people dancing to songs from a boombox, and then deciding to get freaky (which, as Casablancas says, is totally nasty).
"Boombox" might have worked better as a clip on SNL, but as far as just audio goes, it's worse than pretty much all of Lonely Island's output so far (it's way too obvious, and is kind of trite), and less funny than anything by Flight of the Conchords, who are Lonely Island's unofficial competition. That was funny. You don't know what you're talking about.
