Well wonderboys and wicked Annabellas, haven't we got a little treat here for our lazy, late afternoons? This vintage BBC feature on The Kinks, recently unearthed for YouTube, is a combination concert film of a 1972 Muswell Hillbillies-era performance by the group at London's Rainbow Theater and television documentary, featuring performances of "Waterloo Sunset," "Till The End Of The Day," "Sunny Afternoon," and a generous helping of other Kink klassics. There's also interviews with the Davies brothers and important figures associated with the group, including the Kinks' first agent who claims to have discovered the group at a chinese restaurant back in the early sixties when they were still known as The Ravens. Simply essential viewing for Kink aficionados and fans of bad teeth.
