The Kills are about as far out as the music booking on Jay Leno’s show goes, so cherish this moment while it lasts. The duo appeared on the show last night (May 12) to perform this version of “You Don’t Own the Road” from Blood Pressures, which loops back to the “classic” Kills sound from their first couple of records. Alison Mosshart looks like she’s about to be devoured by her own hair here, but gives her usual, highly committed performance anyway, which includes plenty of leaping around the stage and angst-y facial expressions.
