The Morning Becomes Eclectic team on KCRW took advantage of SWSW recently by recording a session by The Kills for their show whilst they were in Texas. “The Last Goodbye” is a track from Blood Pressures that strips away all the rock grime from their sound and simply features a piano-and-vocal performance with occasional synthesized strings. It’s a rare chance for Alison Mosshart to let her voice completely dominate the band’s sound, and the placid tone brings a welcome break from their sweaty exhortations.
