The Kills: “Black Balloon” and “U.R.A Fever” (Live on Carson Daly) (Video)

The forthcoming album by the Dead Weather is one of this year's most anticipated releases, but singer Alison Mosshart also has some unfinished business with her other band. The Kills brought their swampy rock to Last Call with Carson Daly last week, where they performed two songs—“Black Balloon” and “U.R.A. Fever.”

The former is a downbeat tune that shows off Mosshart’s impressive voice, while the latter is the kind of Royal Truxian rock that made the Kills’ name. Guitarist Jamie Hince got into a scrap with a fan at a recent show in Brooklyn, but both he and Mosshart are unusually subdued during this performance.
