DFA disco outfit The Juan MacLean tragically lost their drummer, Jerry Fuchs, earlier this month, and this video of a May performance the group did in Chicago is definitely a testament to Fuchs' massive talent. "Happy House" the group's signature track, is a relentless barrage of dance floor infinities that makes whatever venue it's performed in a temporary disco shrine. This is due in no small part to Jerry Fuchs' ability to steadily hammer out savage percussive brilliance. In short, the man left some big shoes to fill.
great show, i was there. felt like 30+ minutes when they played it. RIP Jerry

It did feel like about half an hour. A half hour of excellence though.
