The Hood Internet: 'The Hood Internet' (Mixtape)
If you frequent blogs of any music genre, you have no doubt run into the work of production team the Hood Internet. The Chicago-based duo of Aaron Brink and Steve Reidell has been making virtual waves for the past four years through remixes, mashups, and original material.
And it's all showcased here on the Hood Internet's eponymous mixtape presented by Mishka NYC. It features thumping remixes of the likes of Tobacco, Hooray for Earth, the Rosebuds, A Place to Bury Strangers, and Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti. In addition, there are original cuts that feature collaborations between Freddie Gibbs and Class Actress, BBU and Das Racist, and Ninjasonik and Johnny Nelson. Pretty rad.
