I can't think of a venue that is more inappropriate for the populist-rawk of The Hold Steady than an empty studio at AOL Corporate headquarters. But here's a video of the band performing "Hurricane J" from their released yesterday Heaven is Whenever for Spinner's Interface series. These songs don't have the same vigor as the band's past material, which is understandable, because you can only be this anthemic for so long before you start cannibalizing yourself.
