“The Hard” F. Dana Williams

While we’ve yet to hear much about a major label debut album from Freddie Gibbs, the hard-nosed Indiana MC has plenty of other projects to wrap his knuckles around–the DJ Drama-officiated Baby Face Killa mixtape is one, in particular.

We’ve already heard one sample of the tape with the Young Jeezy and T.I.-assisted “Pull Up,” and now here’s a second listen with the cruising and melodic–yet nonetheless tough–“The Hard,” featuring Dana Williams (who, as Pitchfork point out, is the daughter of David Williams, who played guitar on Michael Jackson’s 1979 LP, Off the Wall).

Learn of Gangsta Gibbs’ tales of “chopping up the hard” below, and stay tuned for more details on Baby Face Killa coming soon. The project is due out before the year’s end.
