The Gossip just can’t stop performing “Heavy Cross” during their promotional campaign for Music For Men. This clip is taken from German TV, where the newly redheaded Beth Ditto belts out the song in an impressive style while her band hits on the art-punk-disco groove that helped make their name.

The band hasn’t lost much in the transition from indie to major label, and Rick Rubin’s huge production certainly suits them. Their sound may be a little dated now, but Ditto is still the consummate frontwoman, particularly when she struts through the squarer-than-square crowd toward the end of this performance.
