Does it seem to anyone else that the indie community has banded together to contribute to some Christmas mix, but they didn't tell anybody so listeners are having to piece the thing together song by song? Count Brooklyn duo The Golden Filter in, as they make the 80s Psychic TV track "White Nights" somehow even more disconcerting. That's saying something, considering that the original track quoted cult leader Rev. Jim Jones. The Golden Filter play it straight Christmas track in the beginning and during the end, but ghost up the middle section, lending both bookends an eerie feel, like you just walked by the killer during a horror movie.
