The Go! Team: "Apollo Throwdown" (Star Slinger Remix)
Seemingly always-in-the-lab producer Star Slinger must have recently linked with The Go! Team crew as they asked him to remix a track off their upcoming album, Rolling Blackouts. I'm expecting that his take on "Apollo Throwdown" will appear either on an expanded version of the album or a single release of this track. As he's become known to do -- and do well, mind you -- Star Slinger chops up portions of the vocals and instrumentation to make this psych-leaning, head-nodder of a remix. I'm hoping his remixing this track means he's planning on messing with some more of their tunes in the near future.
