The original plan for the Foreign Exchange's Nicolay and Phonte was to take some time to focus on other projects. But following a Grammy nomination last year for a track off Leave It All Behind, they decided they need to get cracking on their third album, Authenticity, which dropped to positive reviews across the board last month.
And here we have the gorgeous Matt Koza-directed visuals for the album's lead single, "Maybe She'll Dream of Me," which leaked as a track earlier this year. The video doesn't fully stick to the theme of the track, which Phonte has said is about that kind of relationship that outsiders can't believe exists and works. It's more a fantasy-driven affair, which works, too, as it's also an aspect of the story.
