Earlier this year, The Foreign Exchange held an intimate acoustic concert at the SoundPure Studios in Durham, N.C. for a select group of "friends and supporters." But apparently it was more than just a special invite-only show as they recorded the entire set, which will be released later this month as Dear Friends.
The 12-track live album mostly includes cuts from the Foreign Exchange's soulful/R&B-heavy second and third albums, Leave It All Behind and Authenticity. A track from the latter is highlighted here with the live rendition of "Laughing at Your Plans," one of Authenticity's finest moments. Additionally, Dear Friends features two new studio tracks, "Steal Away" and "All the Kisses," which feature singer-songwriter Jeanne Jolly and KING's Amber and Paris Strother, respectively.
