As if you couldn't dance to it already, the Foals have taken the Field's driving, gorgeous "The More That I Do" and made it a punchier piece of modern, inorganic robot house. Of course, this dance readiness comes at the expense of the original song's lustrous, 4AD gossamer (by way of the Cocteau Twins song it samples). It seems like the price paid for a spot of sweaty groove is always a little bit of sonic blood.
The single "The More That I Do" is out now on Kompakt with another remix by Thomas Fehlmann. The Field's Yesterday and Today is out May 19. [Pitchfork]
