Considering he doesn't have an album out yet, Gold Panda is quietly making a name for himself these days via the long tentacles of the online universe. So he seems the most fitting person to offer a fresh perspective on the Field's "I Have the Moon, You Have the Internet." His version may not build and surge with the thick (dare I say lunar?) haze of the original, but Gold Panda replaces those layers with a more driving pulse and his own charming stutter-step beat to push the track along. So pop a couple glowsticks, or set your weary self down on the subway after work, and check this one out. It's good for either occasion. [Fader]
I can see where GP would think to chop it up. Still, I prefer the fluid motion of the original.
It's a terrible name for a song. Although any song title that references the Internet has Paul Wall's mighty "Internet Going Nutz" to contend with.
